The Moment of a Breath

A moment of trust

The scent of knowing

Eyes that speak

A moment of watching

Running, playing, sleeping

The peace of touch

A moment of giving

The hearts are matted

Time increasing, yet seizing

A moment of parting

Grief, aching, weeping

Too brief, shattered heart

A moment to reminisce

The time for understanding

Celebration of life, love, sharing

A moment offered

Cherished, held & understood

Boundless joy, undeniable sadness

A moment with me

Forever taken, always treasured

To soon, farvel

This was written soon after losing my beloved Italian Greyhound, Webble

I am a mother of 16 children and grandchildren. Some of them are by blood and the rest by heart. I was a foster mom for a few years and the children I cared for during that time have mostly stayed with me through the years. I love to write, read, dance, paint, and play with my animals. I enjoy dressage riding and just being in the barn. My words are my gift, as they allow you to know me as I really am. Thanks for joining me on this ride of life!
