I Think…

DIPG –Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma As I sit here writing this to you, my heart is heavy with distress.  I am currently watching these children die from the same disease that took Peyton: Chad, Jibril, Lillian Grace, Gabriella, Sara, Andrik, Lejla, Natasha, and Anya, James, Lexy and Jarod.  In additions there are the families of the children, I’ve already watched pass: Aiden, Jacob, Danny, Bryson, Lilleah Grace, Josiah, Devan, Drew, John, Cooper, Michael, Jasmine, Evyla, Molly, Isabel, and Gage, plus more, so many more.  To many children I’ve cried for are now only memories long before we are ready to say “good-bye.” Names are all that I am able to write but behind every name is a child filled with life.  Vibrant, beautiful children who will soon be tired withering bodies waiting for the Lord to carry them home.  As I look upon them, I see their shine grow dimmer.  I see them switch from bodies of light to grey death. It does not matter how much we hurt for them – they will die!  …

Dr. Ben Carson – A Man I admire

Dr. Ben Carson was the first surgeon to successfully separate conjoined twins, at the head.  He is a strong, beautiful black man, who gives glory to our Father. I listened to a speech he gave at the Day of Prayer convention.  I wish I would have been there, listening to him in person.  As I write every word, my fingers type, I give glory to my Father, for giving me this gift.  I always do my best to remember him in all things I do.  Without him, I would be nothing!  Literally! Words have never been a struggle for me.  Grammar, spelling and sentence structure, are my behemoths.  Still, writing is my work, it should be hard!  Thankfully, I have help in the form of a Thesaurus and WhiteSmoke. Dr. Carson had a mother with great intellect, despite her formal education.  Her greatest tool was answered prayer.  With the odds against her, she insisted her son step-up and find a reason to persevere. He said, “Father, you do the thinking, and I will be the hands.”  …

I Think…

As a world follower, I frequently listen to BBC.  I would love to have the opportunity to follow news stations from every country.  For now, BBC is my best radio option. Yesterday, they had a segment about a rare sheep farmer.  Or, was it goats?  I wasn’t terribly interested in this news piece, so my mind was wondering, as it often does.  However, I did catch the part about her farm being threatened into bankruptcy.  She said the flock would all be killed, if that happened. As a person who does what I can to protect the well-being of animals, this snapped my hearing into gear.  The commentator asked the farmer what she intended to do.  She responded that her father always had a saying, “If the goats jump over the fence, build it higher.” These words encouraged me!  Time often pitches curve balls, when we believe life is coming at us fast.  Maybe, it is a way to slow us down.  Possibly, in order to send that curve ball into the outfield we need to …

New Book – LEAVE YOUR MARK by Aliza Licht

I went to Barnes & Nobles today.  I love to go there, pull a book off the shelve and curl up somewhere to read it.  Today’s book, Leave Your Mark by Aliza Licht. Ms. Licht works for a fashion magazine.  Upon learning her field of expertise I wondered, “What could she offer me?” Two hours later, I learned a wealth of information.  I’ve learned through my journey of self-publishing, to learn from many teachers, rather than a few.  There are so many people willing to share their success tips.  Their books, blogs or publications could have a special bit of information, that seems to be written with you in mind. Leave Your Mark is a business person’s dream come true.  Whether you are in fashion, an assistant, or a writer, like me, this book will bring to light many important ideas to help you be successful. Grab yourself a copy and dive into the world of business.

Foreign Drama

The Time I Loved You, 7000 Days Hulu +5 or (The Time We Were Not In Love) 16 episodes 2015 Ha Ji Won is such a talented actress.  This is not the first time I’ve enjoyed her performance.  She was Empress Ki and also performed in Secret Garden.  These are two of my top dramas. Lee Jin Wook has an average look, but can turn your heart when he opens his eyes wide, or when he tilts his head and pulls back his hair.  This is my first time to view him on the screen, with an exception to the few minutes I watched I Need Romance 2.  His innocence, on the screen, kept me waiting for the next scene, he and Oh Ha Na would be together.  Such simple caring for another, with selfless obsession -made my heart smile! Joon Gyun Sang is tall!!!!  He had very small parts in Faith and Pinocchio.  I thought he was so handsome in Pinocchio and Lee Jung Suk’s older brother out for vengeance.  I still thought he …
