Many of us have destroyed our dreams before we even start our first step. Occasionally, we believe what others are telling us “These things never happen in real life” without questioning. And we ended up by gaining nothing but procrastination, fatigue, and regret. Someone told me that it is human nature to stay comfortable and resist the notion of hard work, but I don’t agree with him because for me, it is our choice whether to do or not to do. If you have a dream to be fulfilled, here you go: Turn imagination into reality – before start a project, I usually imagine how the result looks like and what kind of emotional connection I wanted to create. Gun Control!  Simply written -tough topic. As in every situation in America, we are trying to fix everything.  Some people believe if we keep trying -there will no longer be suffering or strife.  What have we become -fools? You can’t fix everything.  There is no perfect world!  There is never going to be an absolute fix.  Everything we do will only cause a reaction.  People who want to kill -will kill.  If we keep going the way, we are -the innocent will no longer be able to defend themselves in any form. Look at our society -if you accidentally kill someone -you get manslaughter.  Some of our children are even going to jail -because of an accident.  Everyone is getting sued -for everything.  Why?  People are having their rights restricted -to protect others. I want to protect the suffering, just the same as you.  But, life takes its course, and suffering will never end.  We become so fixated on what needs to be fixed, we can’t think about the consequences of our actions.  By the …

Abuse and Authority

I hesitate to write this post simply because the world we live in today has a tendency to define everything as abuse, and when everything is abuse, nothing is anymore. I spent many years working for our domestic violence sexual assault program so I know what abuse is, but at the same time I was also observing our culture’s plunge into insanity, to where the system began to see abuse everywhere, in everything. I remember someone threw a piece of banana at a spouse and it was deemed 4th degree assault. Kids started threatening to call the cops on their parents, take away my toys, that’s destruction of personal property, ground me, that’s unlawful imprisonment. What started shifting was power and who held it, and authority and who had it. Our own kids reflected these cultural shifts too, and often hubby and I were left either outright laughing or scratching our head in puzzlement as if to say, you’re kidding me, right? Our kids had…
