New Record -Likes

New Record -30 Likes in one day.  thank you all so much.  I must sound like a broken record these last two days, but I am thrilled beyond belief.  It is so hard to believe I have gone from not one person even viewing my blog -to 30 likes in one day. It took 2 months to make friends, and get my blog noticed.  I was ready to give up.  Each of you have made my dream a reality.  So far to go -but each step is like skipping stones across the lake -you want to see how many bounces you can make, and one is never enough.  Again, thank you!

Just Jot It January 2016 Rules Today’s Jot: Robust My grandmother was a robust woman, and I always wanted to be like her.  It seemed there was nothing she couldn’t do.  She was born to a family that was hard and tough.  As an only child, her life was made more difficult, as she struggled to be everything, her parents needed. Not only did she live her life, meeting the needs of her husband and children, during the great depression -she expected this same strength and determination from her children. My papa, although a robust man, in size and strength, was kind and gentle.  I don’t believe he ever raised his voice.  He would entertain his children with the kind of “wow’s” you’d see in a circus.  My dad told me how his father would pick up a bucket of nails with only his teeth.  For my dad to be impressed, it was a big bucket -and heavy. Grandma taught me that a woman could do anything -but she should always be the strength behind …

Other people. Good morning, today I want to tell you a story, it this story you must imagine you are in India on Indian roads, surrounded by what some would call crack pots. They seem to have no idea of rules on the road like here in the uk. Everybody rushes to get to work, all seemingly late.? Now whilst the storey I will tell is set in the amazing country we call India. (I have never been personally) I know the people there are friendly, kind and lead simple lives in the main. Surrounded by family that wants to help. They do things very differently but are they happy people? I would say yes. But we are all human so let’s not judge till we have heard the story of the garbage truck. Law of the Garbage Truck? ? One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. ?We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out…

Just Jot It January

Just Jot It January 2016 Rules Today’s jot is: Cloud Each night, at about 9 p.m.  I go down to the barn to feed my horses.  I like to go at night, because I want to make sure they’ve eaten before the weather turns colder.  There is another reason, as well. Prior to moving to our current home, I lived on top of a hill, with very few trees.  Almost none of them were tall enough to obscure the sky.  If you’ve every been in a planetarium observatory, it feels like a bubble, enclosing you, with a vast sky all around.  At night, I would be enclosed in the bubble of sky. Now, I am surrounded by trees, and can’t experience this same bubble.  However, I still see the sky, when I am at the barn.  Some nights, the sky is clear, and the constellations sparkle down at me. Other nights, the sky is full of clouds, and I can’t see anything. On of my favorite displays, is when the clouds are thick and range in …
