Just Jot It January 24

Just Jot It January 24th – Compelled – We’re almost there!

JJJ 2016Jot -Compelled

Proverbs 31 talks about a woman clothed with strength and dignity.  This is the only woman fit to be the wife of a King.

Men are frequently lured, while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, into the bedrooms of women without dignity.  If I’m not mistaken, men go to bars, with the intention of picking up a woman.

Not surprisingly, many women go to bars to find a man.

The man is looking for sex.  The woman is looking for a man to love her.  One will be easily found, and the other will most likely be left -forgotten!

Why do women search for men, in a den of lust?  Why would any women look for love, where sex is on the menu -served up in a glass of poison?  Do we truly expect to find faithfulness, dependability, and a man of dignity?

Remember, a man without dignity -will never be a good husband for a Queen.  What?  You’re not a queen?  Well, my dear -you should be!  We are all kings and queens -for we rule our own selves by the freedom of choice.  Is having a man -more important than the choice to walk with dignity?

In the 1800’s, women fought to prevent their husbands from drinking.  Some would protest in front of bars.  A drunken man, was of little use in their family.  Gambling, adultery, and poor choices -kept families from thriving.

Eventually, just as today, the fight began to make a change.  It appears; men find the pull to drink –compelling.  Prohibition was unsuccessful -as a new world of underground drinking became the modern wave of choice.

Unfortunately, women succumbed to the same temptations.  As with most things, evil begets evil -and these women found what they were looking for.  What did they find?  They discovered what it was like to be used, tarnished, beaten, owned, and some even died.  Yeah, yeah, yeah -women have always been treated that way.

You’re right -but now, they are choosing this lifestyle, rather than being forced into it.  Why is it, we fought to be equal -only to dive into the grotesque, putrid, and lowly life of the drunken fool?

We are the strength, the very heart of the family -the backbone of humanity.  It was not the man -chosen to give birth.  We are the Queens of this earth.  Be a Queen, and carry your dignity with pride.  Do not grovel at the feet of a man -who does not deserve to have your feet walk in his path.  When will we begin to demand -to share our bed, I think…with a man who is a King?

I am a mother of 16 children and grandchildren. Some of them are by blood and the rest by heart. I was a foster mom for a few years and the children I cared for during that time have mostly stayed with me through the years. I love to write, read, dance, paint, and play with my animals. I enjoy dressage riding and just being in the barn. My words are my gift, as they allow you to know me as I really am. Thanks for joining me on this ride of life!

  1. I think just as many men go looking for love and a similar number of women are just after sex, it isn’t a gender divide in that respect. And sadly, the fastest growing group of heavy drinkers (in the UK anyway) is young women.

    • You are sadly, hitting the nail. But, for women -sex = love. Most don’t want just sex, they are hoping that by giving themselves -they will find love, at the other end. But, you are still right. There are a lot of women, who are just looking for sex.

      • I honestly don’t think that’s true, I think there are just as many women who want to have fun, without the commitment of a relationship, as there are men who want to settle down and get married.
I don’t believe for a minute that all women automatically associate sex with love and to say that is a “sad” thing is in itself sad.
Modern society has changed a lot and I don’t think the clichéd sexual stereotypes of the past are even vaguely relevant today.
Each to their own, of course, but I think there are many more social grey areas emerging every day and society is all the better for them.
