Our Kids Are Dying

As a CASA, I regularly attend classes that will help me understand how to help my kids.  The reason I took this particular class, was not because I deal with a large number of children on drugs -its their parents.

We have a serious problem with parents on drugs -raising kids.

The #1 reason our kids die –accidents

  • overdose
  • gun shot wound
  • others (like: ATM machines)

#2 –SUICIDE

I’m not kidding.  Our children are taking their own lives.  Those most at risk are between the ages of 10-24.

Why?

Natural tendency to be depressed, family problems, social issues…

Did you know that synthetic drugs enhance a child’s propensity to be depressed?

Your child’s brain will not stop growing until they are around the age of twenty-five.

That means -drugs inhibits the normal growth pattern of the Pre-Frontal Cortex.

What is the Pre-frontal Cortex?

The CEO of your brain.

Yep, the one that tells you what is a “good move” and a “bad move.”  It regulates our ability to respond to  stress & panic.

Guess which is the last part of the brain to finish growing?

You’re right!  The Pre-frontal Cortex.

You ever wonder why your kid does crazy things like jump off of buildings, taking drugs, driving without a license, etc…?

They just don’t get it!  There brain isn’t developed enough to understand.  For them, if their core friends did it -and everything was fine, well that’s good enough for them.  It is now “officially” safe.

When the growth pattern of this part of your brain is damaged  or underdeveloped by early drug use -there are BIG problems.

  1. irrational behavior
  2. feelings of emptiness
  3. depression
  4. psychotic behavior (super human strength) -not like super hero stuff but crazy scary stuff.
  5. increase heart rate
  6. high fever -to the point they may go out and sleep naked in the snow
  7. insomnia
  8. agitation
  9. delusions
  10. kidney damage/failure
  11. organ shut down
  12. heart attack
  13. hallucinations
  14. paranoia
  15. poor memory
  16. lack of concentration
  17. Life long problems (Like: HPPD -hallucinations in the eyes and is permanent.  These hallucinations may appear like waves, or things melting.  It is incurable!)
  18. Need I list more?

What is being done?

I believe we need to educate our children better -before they use drugs.

We have school programs that help prevent teenage pregnancy.  My girls knew about sex long before I told them.  They learned in great detail from their health teacher.

We’ve had mass produced TV ads about early types of drugs.  Why not now?

We need mass media to inform our children about the dangers of synthetic drugs!

When I was growing up, in the seventies, we actually had classes about drugs, and orgies -let’s do this again, with synthetic drugs.  Kids believe they are safe, because they are sold over the counter.  They aren’t safe!  The chemist are constantly adding new chemicals, to old “over-the-counter” drugs -so they stay legal.  There is no way the laws can keep up with the new varieties.  A drug your child consumes today, may tomorrow -kill them.

Let’s fight for our kids -if not for them, then for your grandchildren.  Don’t think you can stop this.  Your kids will have kids -and they will find ways to keep you from taking them, even though you know they are using synthetic drugs.  You can’t prove it!  Even as a CASA, if my parent is using synthetic drugs -I can’t test them for it.  There isn’t enough test!  There isn’t enough resources!  There isn’t enough laws!

Your grandchild will be raised by a drug addict, who will neglect them, starve them, beat them, allow others to molest them, the list goes on.

You -you get to sit back and watch, wondering if you have the strength to turn in your own child, possibly loose your grandchild forever, or do nothing -and maybe lose them to death.

It is an epidemic!

It is time to fight!  Contact the National Drug Early Warning System (NDEWS) and see if you can help.  We need to do something -and this is the best place I know, to start.  I think…it is time.

My next post will let you know the drugs that are currently on the market, and coming our way.

I am a mother of 16 children and grandchildren. Some of them are by blood and the rest by heart. I was a foster mom for a few years and the children I cared for during that time have mostly stayed with me through the years. I love to write, read, dance, paint, and play with my animals. I enjoy dressage riding and just being in the barn. My words are my gift, as they allow you to know me as I really am. Thanks for joining me on this ride of life!

  1. For a moment, let’s forget our children deserve some kind of bodily autonomy and the right to exist a life that was forced on them.

They’re not killing themselves just because of drugs. Our children are forced into a jail-esque system where they learn meaningless data while being punished for socializing. The school system is ridiculous in how inefficient and damaging it is. I don’t want to have children just so they won’t experience the isolation the school system encourages. A system that turns your child into a useless number, a cog in a machine that doesn’t even have a purpose is more dangerous. This is why people kill themselves.

    • Then don’t have children! That simplifies it for you and the kids that would exist in a life that is forced upon them. All answers are out there, but they only come from one source. Please find him -cause it sounds like you’re searching. God bless!
