Foreign Drama -Bubble Gum

Bubble Gum 16 episodes Hulu 2015 I saw Lee Dong Wook in Blade Man, and although there were wonderful things about that drama -this actor only marginally won me over.  I now, have a different opinion.  Possibly, the last drama failed to reach me because the blades coming out of his body -were simply, stupid, fake, unbelievable. In a drama, where I can see the man grow, cry, love, and experience great loss -I have come to know the actor.  I see you, Dong Wook -and I like what I found. Jung Ryeo Won is memorable as she shows us the life of an orphan who is barely accepted by a woman convinced her own life, and the life of her son -are paramount!  Still, she discovers a world where she lives happily -at least most of  the time. Inside this world, she makes friends, has lovers, and enjoys a job that allows her freedom to be… So what was missing?  True love can be lost in the dearest of friendships.  When we break free of …

Courage doesn’t always roar…

I love lions dearly, certainly the real Lion from the tribe of Judah, but also the metaphorical ones written into  literature, Aslan of Narnia, and the cowardly lion in the wizard of Oz, the lion who didn’t know he was a lion and went seeking his “lost” courage from a wizard. Lions are known as the king of the jungle, the king of the beasts, perceived as a symbol of power, of courage. They have spectacular teeth and a mighty roar. In literal truth, I am uncertain what “lion reality” actually looks like. These are all human perceptions we have subjectively projected onto lions, caricatures and characters we have created, based loosely on observing the king of the jungle. I know someone who rather disapproves of lions, considering them a bad example, politically incorrect, because male lions sleep most of the day, while the females do all the hunting. We should notify the lions of our disapproval, inform them they are doing lionhood all wrong.…

Top 10 Most Expensive Coffees

These coffee’s are rare and unique and come from all over the world. There is an interesting variety of flavors to keep any coffee connoisseur interested. However not all of these are readily available, some are bought by auction, some are sold in small batches to select people, and some are only sold in far off places. Starting with the least expensive here are the top 10 most expensive coffees: Black Blood of the Earth $40/750ml or $95 for Blue Mountain! Philip Broughton, the man who invented this coffee, says most of the coffee beans come from the rift valleys of Ethiopia and Africa where the beans are loaded with oil. Flavor Notes: The acid is lost during intense processing, so what you get in your cup is a strong flavored brew that is rich in caffeine, but lacks acid. Fun Fact: Black Blood of Earth is prepared using cold vacuum extraction. During the processing stage, most of the bean oil is extracted, and this makes the coffee abundantly rich in…

I Found Me!

<a href=”https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/toot-your-horn/”>Toot Your Horn</a> my heartstrings…fiddledeedee I believe I’ve found myself.  I pour out my heart each time I talk about the children who have cancer, foster children, adopting and my own family and pets. I also pour out my heart for each of you and the friendship that is building between us.  It is for these reasons I felt that a place for my heart -was me. A couple of times, I’ve watched a Korean drama where they discussed the story of the heartstring.  When two people fall in love, a string ties their heats together.  When you unroll the string -they are still one. No matter where I am, or what I am doing -I am tied to you and my family.  Each of you are holding a small portion of my heartstring -and there is still more to share. When you play the fiddle, my strings will stutter -deedeedeedeedee. Thanks for all of your advice and help! Dee

What Are Your Kids Using -Drugs

SYNTHETIC DRUGS -how do we recognize them? Synthetic drugs are sold at “grey market’s” -gas stations, cigarette stores, smoke shops, any small shops that choses to cater to these drugs.  They are easy to access -and they are legal, over-the-counter. Research Chemist -the “good” ones, the ones that give you the best “high,”  they have a fan base.  These kids follow their every move.  If they change jobs, their followers will watch drugs come from their research facility.  Clue:  If your student, young adult, is suddenly interested in a research chemist –bing, as Jeff Foxworthy would say, “Here is your sign.” Types of Synthetic Drugs: K2/Spice also known as Scooby Snax, Cloud 10, Mad Hatter, etc.  They come in small sq.  pkg’s and will remind you of pot pourri.  However, they will not smell good, and the color isn’t pretty. Bath Salts also known as Ivory Soft, Rave On!, Energy Soak, Heavenly Soak, Cloud 9, White Girl, Tranquility, etc.  There names always have a soothing sound, and they come in small bags.  These bags will be …

Our Kids Are Dying

As a CASA, I regularly attend classes that will help me understand how to help my kids.  The reason I took this particular class, was not because I deal with a large number of children on drugs -its their parents. We have a serious problem with parents on drugs -raising kids. The #1 reason our kids die –accidents overdose gun shot wound others (like: ATM machines) #2 –SUICIDE I’m not kidding.  Our children are taking their own lives.  Those most at risk are between the ages of 10-24. Why? Natural tendency to be depressed, family problems, social issues… Did you know that synthetic drugs enhance a child’s propensity to be depressed? Your child’s brain will not stop growing until they are around the age of twenty-five. That means -drugs inhibits the normal growth pattern of the Pre-Frontal Cortex. What is the Pre-frontal Cortex? The CEO of your brain. Yep, the one that tells you what is a “good move” and a “bad move.”  It regulates our ability to respond to  stress & panic. Guess which …

What we think in our mind is what we will be.

In our minds eye we have a picture of what will be, what we can achieve. Where we think our abilities will take us, what we think we are capable in our lives. Who we can and can’t be in this world, we have an idea that restricts us instead of encouraging us.? So by having the thoughts you have as to what you can achieve do you understand that that is the very thing that restricts you from becoming more. I have this approach in life ‘if he can, I can’ I used to be passionate about maybe being wealthy, you know the posh house, nice car holiday home ect. ?? Life is not like that anymore, I have changed. My life has changed, I now realise the one thing that makes us happy, and it’s not money or things. It’s contentment, it’s peace, it’s the planet, the creation God has made all around me that matters. The smile on my wife’s face when the dog does…

The Value of a Woman
